South Dakota is among the leading U.S. states in COVID-19 vaccinations. The State Department of Health reported Monday that South Dakota is among the top two or three leading states in the nation in vaccinations per capita.
There have been over 27-thousand people in South Dakota who have now received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. Active cases have also dropped significantly in South Dakota, while hospitalizations from the virus are down by more than 50% statewide in the past two months.
