A minimum-security state prison inmate who walked away from the Yankton Community Work Center in November has been captured.
Matthew Fritz-Chappell was arrested this week and the South Dakota Department of Corrections says he is currently being held in the Pennington County Jail in Rapid City.
Fritz-Chappell had been serving a pair of 45-month sentences for offenses in Yankton and Bon Homme Counties. He was one of three inmates who walked away from the Yankton facility on November 27th, and the other two remain on Escape status.
