In a statement released late this morning from Pierre, South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem has called for the resignation of Attorney General Jason Ravnsborg (rouns-berg) of Yankton.
Last week Rounsberg was charged with three misdemeanors stemming from an incident last September where his car hit and killed 55-year-old Joe Beever who was walking along the shoulder of Highway 14 west of Highmore.
Noem said quote “Now that the investigation has closed and charges have been filed, I believe the Attorney General should resign. I have reviewed the material we are releasing starting today, and I encourage others to review it as well” endquote.
