- The Yankton Bucks Basketball team made quick work of their out of state opponent in the annual Hoop City Classic at the Mitchell Corn Palace yesterday afternoon, dispatching Campbell County High School 79-51, having only trailed once in the first couple of minutes of action. Jaden Kral led the Bucks in scoring with 19 points, while Cody Oswald tallied 17.
The Bucks, now 3-1, prepare to host Huron, an ESD opponent, at the Summit Activities Center this coming Tuesday. Coach Chris Haynes says the remainder of the winter break is essential for the tough schedule ahead.

- South Dakota State Women’s Basketball returns to Brookings to host North Dakota State tomorrow at 7 pm at Frost Arena. South Dakota State men’s basketball will be idle until tomorrow as well, when they play at North Dakota State. That game is part of a two-contest road trip to North Dakota.
