A one vehicle accident occurred near Gayville on Thursday evening.
According to Yankton County Sheriff Sargent Greg Jensen, their office responded to the accident at the corner of 309th Street and 450th Avenue two miles northwest of Gayville.
Upon investigation, 25-year-old Samantha Olson of Yankton was traveling eastbound in a 2018 GMC Terrain on 309th Street when she lost control of the vehicle, entered the ditch, struck a field approach, and rolled. After rolling several times, the vehicle landed upward.
Olson was transported to Avera Sacred Heart Hospital with minor injuries. Olson was not wearing a seatbelt.
