Local authorities located a missing person Thursday who disappeared along the Missouri River in Cedar County.
61-year-old Roy Reichle of St. Helena, Nebraska, was believed to have been hiking along the south shore of the Missouri River near the Meridian Bridge Tuesday night. Authorities from nearly a dozen different agencies joined in the search that included air support and police dogs.
Reichle’s body was located and removed from a hole in the ice on a Missouri River backwater on Thursday at about 12:30PM Thursday.
