- Three Gazelles and one Yankton Buck strap on their headgear for the first of two days of the South Dakota State Wrestling Tournament at the Denny Sanford Premier Center in Sioux Falls today. Dylan Sloan (26-16) is the only Yankton Buck, qualifying at 126 pounds. The Gazelles include defending state Class A 131-pound champion Nevaeh Leonard (22-8), Jett Yaggie (16-7) at 106 pounds, and Keira Christ (Krist) (23-14) will compete at 113 pounds. Competition begins at 9 am today with championships set for Friday evening.

- South Dakota’s Hunter Rebrovich earned his first career TicketSmarter Summit Golfer of the week accolade announced yesterday. Rebrovich finished in 7th place at the Loyola Intercollegiate tournament for his first top-10 finish as a Coyote. Rebrovich had his best tournament as a Coyote since transferring from Minnesota State prior to the season. The junior from Alexandria, Minnesota, shot three consecutive rounds under par, including a season-best 3-under par 69 in round two. He sank the seventh most birdies among all players with 14 in three rounds and averaged the third-best stroke average on par four holes at 3.87 strokes. Rebrovich completed the tournament at 6-under par for his best 54-hole score at South Dakota.
