Crofton Community Moving Forward After Bond Issue Fail

Voters in the Crofton school district overwhelmingly rejected an $18.9 million bond issue that would have brought K-12 students together at one site.

The vote was 429 votes for the opt-out and 711 votes against.

Crofton School Superintendent Chris Look was pleased with the strong public input throughout the process…

Look adds that its time to figure out what exactly caused the majority of no votes…

The election was conducted with mail-in ballots sent to school patrons in Knox and Cedar counties.

The Crofton School Board was seeking approval to construct a new elementary school onto the current high school.
