The Yankton City Commission has allocated a record amount of dollars for the downtown façade grant program totaling eighty-seven thousand dollars.
The downtown Yankton façade grant program is a 50/50 match with the property owner having to match what is allotted by the city.

The façade grant program allotment was doubled last year from thirty to sixty thousand. It was increased again this year to eighty-seven thousand. Funding for the grant program comes from the city’s bed, board, and booze tax.
