The University of South Dakota’s Communication Science & Disorders Department recently hosted an event on the USD Campus to hand out awards and fellowships to deserving students.

The faculty of the USD Communication Sciences & Disorder Department distributed ten awards to deserving undergraduate and graduate students. These students are on the path to becoming either audiologists or speech pathologists upon graduation.
Seventeen students received fellowships from the South Dakota Scottish Rite Foundation, totaling nearly $28,000 to assist in their college expenses. The Scottish Rite also supports five speech and hearing clinics around the state.
