The Yankton Gazelles took to the hardwood last night as they hosted the Watertown Arrows at the Summit Activities Center. KYNT Sports Director Bryce Ladwig broke down the action immediately following last night’s game.

The Yankton Bucks Basketball team will return to the court tonight as they travel to Watertown to take on the Arrows inside the Watertown Civic Arena. Pregame coverage for this class AA clash is set to begin at 6:30 PM with tip off set for 7:00 on KYNT and KYNTV. Bryce Ladwig will be on the call.
The Mount Marty Lancers men’s and women’s basketball teams are both coming off of losses on Wednesday night as they set their sights on a Sunday afternoon double header with Dakota Wesleyan at the Corn Palace in Mitchell.
Pregame coverage on KYNT will begin at 1:30 PM with the women set to tip off at 2:00 and the men to follow. Tehl Tanner will be on the call.
The Mount Marty Lancers men and women will take part in their first indoor track and field meet of 2023 tomorrow as they host the Mount Marty Opener in Yankton inside the Ruth Donohoe First Dakota Fieldhouse. Events are scheduled to begin at 12:00 PM.
The Yankton Bucks and Gazelles wrestling teams were in action last night as they traveled to Brandon Valley for a triangular against Brandon Valley and Aberdeen Central.
The Bucks went 0-2 on the day losing 75 to 6 to Aberdeen Central, and 78 to 6 to Brandon Valley. Joelton Reimnitz-Hahn and Edly Amaro both secured wins by pinfall for Yankton
The Gazelles also fell in a sweep as they lost 24 to 12 against Brandon Valley and 36 to 12 against Aberdeen. Both Jaclyn Kyte and Naveah Leonard earned two victories apiece by pinfall for the Gazelles
Next time the Bucks and Gazelles hit the mat will be next Thursday, January 19th as Yankton will host a triangular against Huron and Pierre.

Rivalry week for the South Dakota and South Dakota State men’s and women’s basketball teams comes to a head tomorrow as the two schools are set to square off on the hardwood. The women get the games started in Brookings as SDSU hosts USD in Frost Arena at 1:00 PM. The men will conclude the action in the evening as the Coyotes host the Jackrabbits inside the Sanford Coyote Sports center at 6:00 PM.
