More information has been released on a pursuit that began in Minnehaha County and ended in Yankton County Wednesday.
Sioux Falls Police Department Public Information Officer Sam Clemens explained the situation to KYNT.
Clemens says that the officer that had been run over was able to notify another officer who was able to identify the suspects and a pursuit began that eventually ended in Yankton County.
Clemens says that the officer that was struck by the vehicle received minor injuries and that the vehicle involved in the pursuit had been reported stolen last Friday.
The two suspects, Evette Veo, 31, and Alicia Abdo, 26, have been charged with Aggravated Assault on Law Enforcement, Obstruction, and Possession of Controlled Substance.
Veo, who was the driver of the car, was also charged with Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, False Impersonation, and Resisting Arrest.
