The Yankton Bucks football team will play their first game of the 2023 season this evening, as they host the Mitchell Kernels at Crane-Youngworth Field.
This will be the second straight year that Yankton meets Mitchell in the season opener, the Bucks took the victory week one last year, 45 to 6 over the Kernels.

Yankton Gazelles tennis will play in a quad today in Brookings, beginning at 11:00 AM. The Gazelles will face Harrisburg first at 11:00 AM, Brookings at 1:30 PM, and Aberdeen Central at 4:00. All matches will take place at the Brookings Hillcrest Tennis Courts.
Yankton Bucks and Gazelles cross country will compete in their first meet of the season this afternoon, taking place at Pasley Park in Sioux Falls. The girls varsity will begin running at 4:00 PM, with the boys varsity running at 4:25.
