Yankton Bucks and Gazelles soccer traveled to Pierre last night for a double header, as the Bucks played to a scoreless draw, while the Gazelles fell to the Governors 5 to 0.

            The Bucks and Gazelles return home tomorrow night as they host West Central for a double header. First kick of game one is scheduled for 4:00 PM, with pregame coverage on KYNT and KYNTV beginning at 3:30. Brayden Butler will be on the call.

            Yankton Gazelles volleyball were on the road last night, as they fell in a 3-set match to Sioux Falls Lincoln.

            The Gazelles will return home for their next match, as they host Vermillion tomorrow night at 7:00 PM, inside the Summit Activities Center.

            Yankton competitive cheer and dance competed in the Huron Invitational last night, as they claimed the top spot in the dance competition, and took home 5th in cheer.

            Yankton scored a 268.25 to win the dance competition, beating out Sioux Falls Washington by 0.5 points. The cheer competition was won by Brookings, with Yankton rounding out the top-5 in the event with a score of 211.

            Next up for Yankton is the Harrisburg Invitational on Saturday.

            Yankton Bucks golf took 6th overall in yesterday’s 13-team Watertown invitational, as they shot 323 as a team.

            The Bucks top finisher was Kai Cody, who shot a 79 on the day. He was followed closely by Parker Riley and Easton Vellek, who each shot an 80.

            Next up for the Bucks is the ESD conference championships on September 25th, hosted at Fox Run Golf Course in Yankton.

            Mount Marty women’s golf finished 9th in the Northwest Iowa National Invitational following yesterday’s final round.

            The Lancers shot 315 on the final day, tallying their best round of the tournament. Kelsey Heath led the Lancers, as she finished tied for 19th in the event. Tanna Lehfeldt also cracked the top-40 for MMU, finishing tied for 32nd.

            The Lancers will next compete in the Hastings Invitational on September 25th and 26th.

            Mount Marty volleyball is in Seward, Nebraska this evening for a match against Concordia University. First serve is set for 7:30 PM.

            Mount Marty women’s soccer travel to Omaha this afternoon for a matchup with the College of St. Mary. First kick is scheduled for 4:00 PM.

            Yankton Gazelles tennis return to action tomorrow, as they have a home triangular against Sioux Falls Washington and Harrisburg. Matches begin at 10:00 AM on Thursday.

            Yankton Bucks and Gazelles cross country will play host to six other schools tomorrow afternoon for a meet at Fox Run Golf Course. Girls varsity will run at 5:05 PM, with the boys varsity scheduled to begin at 5:30.

            The Yankton Quarterback Club will host their weekly meeting today at the River Rock Event Center. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 12:00 PM noon, with South Dakota State head football coach Jimmy Rogers as the featured guest speaker.
