The Yankton City Commission has approved a third-party consultant to take a look at the work done on the pond at Westside Park.
The decision comes after leakage in a redesign of the pond was discovered in July.
City Manager, Amy Leon, says that the consultant should be able to determine what went wrong with both the original design and the redesign.
Leon says that hiring a third-party consultant will cost the city $3,280.
