The Gayville-Volin Raiders fell in straight sets to Warner yesterday in the Class B Volleyball State Tournament.
Freshman Maia Achen (A-ken) secured the 1,000th kill of her varsity career in the loss, as she recorded a team high 12 kills. Setter Keely Larson tallied 15 assists as well.
The Raiders fall into the consolation bracket with the loss, as they take on Wolsey-Wessington in their next match, today at 11:00 AM mountain, noon central in Rapid City.

Mount Marty Men’s and Women’s Basketball will be on the road tomorrow afternoon, as they have a double header against Morningside in Sioux City, Iowa.

The Summit League Volleyball Tournament begins on November 19th, and despite earning a share of the regular season conference title, the South Dakota Coyotes enter as the #4 seed.
The Coyotes finished in a 4-way tie at the top of the Summit, as USD, Kansas City, Denver, and Omaha all earned 12 and 4 conference records. This year’s tournament will be held in Vermillion, due to the Coyotes winning last year’s Summit League Title.

South Dakota Men’s Basketball are in Glendale for the Arizona Tip-Off this weekend, with their first game taking place today against the Virginia Military Institute. The game is slated to begin at 1:00 PM.
South Dakota Women’s Basketball will be in the Bahamas this weekend, as they compete in the 2023 Battle 4 Atlantis. The Coyotes open the Battle 4 Atlantis tomorrow evening, as they take on DePaul.
South Dakota State Women’s Basketball will be on the road tomorrow afternoon, as they’ll be in Martin, Tennessee to take on UT Martin. Tip-Off is set for 1:00 PM on Saturday.
