On November 2nd, the 100 Women of Yankton announced that the River City Domestic Violence Center would be the recipient of their 12th distribution event, and now the total donation of $16,235 has been announced.
Cassie Nagel, Executive Director of River City Domestic Violence Center said, “This donation helps fill a need we have within our expansion project. Furnishings are very expensive but are a necessity for making it the perfect space for the people that need our services. We truly thank the members of 100 Women of Yankton for making this possible.”
Steering committee member, Whitney Devine, said of the event, “As with every meeting we have, the needs of the organizations presenting are all different. Each group educates us on ways we can impact them, and while we’d love to help them all, at the end of the night our members decide on what they feel most moved by. Being able to help River City Domestic Violence Center complete this big project is truly a way 100 Women of Yankton can make a large impact within our community.”
The total of all twelve 100 Women of Yankton events has resulted in $194,350 distributed to organizations in Yankton County. The next distribution meeting of 100 Women of Yankton is planned for Thursday, April 4, 2024, at the Elks Lodge in Yankton.
