Teen Pleads Not Guilty in Threat Made Towards Yankton High School

One of the two people facing charges in a threat that was made to the Yankton High School in October pleaded not guilty Friday.

Helen Gonzalez Moya, 18, appeared in front of Judge Cheryl Gehring at the Yankton County Courthouse Friday.

Moya faces charges of aggravated assault with deadly weapon and a terroristic threat involving an automated phone call to the school on October 25th.

A juvenile female also faces the same charges for her alleged involvement in the threat.

Moya is next set to appear in court on March 11th, 2024.
