Yankton Bucks Basketball are scheduled to be on the road tonight, as they make the trip to Sioux Falls for a game against the Roosevelt Roughriders.

Yankton is 1 and 7 on the year, following their 63-60 overtime loss to Jefferson on Tuesday. Roosevelt enters with a 6 and 2 overall record, having won their last 4 games in a row.

Yankton Gazelles Basketball returns home this evening for the first time since December 8th, as they host the Sioux Falls Roosevelt Roughriders inside the Summit Activities Center.

Yankton is 2 and 6 on the year coming off of a loss to Sioux Falls Jefferson on Tuesday, while Roosevelt is also 2 and 6 following a loss to Harrisburg.

Mount Marty Men’s and Women’s Basketball hosts Dakota Wesleyan on Saturday for a GPAC doubleheader inside Cimpl Arena.

Both Lancer squads are coming off of road losses to Midland on Wednesday, while both DWU teams are also coming off of losses to Dordt.

The women will play first at 2:00 PM with the men to follow. Pregame coverage on KYNT and KYNTV begins at 1:15. Tehl Tanner will be on the call.

Mount Marty Track and Field is scheduled to have their first competition since December 9th today, as they travel to Seward, Nebraska for the Concordia Polar Dog Invite. Events are scheduled to begin at noon.

Yankton Gymnastics was supposed to travel to Hendricks, Minnesota for a quadrangular yesterday, but the Gazelles did not attend the event due to winter weather in the area. Yankton is now scheduled to compete in Huron at the Tiger Activity Center this evening, with events beginning at 5:30 PM.

Yankton Bucks and Gazelles Wrestling are on the road in Huron tonight for an invitational hosted inside Huron Arena. Matches are scheduled to begin at 5:00 PM.

South Dakota Men’s Basketball’s Jevon Hill hit a last-second shot to force overtime last night in USD’s game against St. Thomas. The Coyotes would go on to secure a 74 to 73 win.

Hill’s game-tying bucket would be 2 of his 12 points on the night. Lahat Thioune (La-hot Toon) led the way in scoring and rebounding for USD, as he recorded an 18-point, 10-rebound double-double.

USD is back at home tomorrow afternoon, as they host South Dakota State University at 1:00 PM inside the Sanford Coyote Sports Center.

South Dakota Women’s Basketball outlasted St. Thomas on the road last night, notching a 63 to 61 victory thanks to a last-second shot from Tori DePerry.

DePerry’s game-winner was the lone basket she made on the evening, while Kendall Holmes led all scorers for USD with 19 points on the night.

USD is on the road tomorrow to take on the South Dakota State Jackrabbits inside Frost Arena. Tipoff is set for 6:00 PM.

South Dakota State Men’s Basketball was able to grab a close win over Omaha last night, 90 to 87.

Zeke Mayo tallied a game-high 21 points in the win, as he was one of five Jackrabbits to score double figures. With the 2nd highest being 17 from Charlie Easley

SDSU are on the road tomorrow afternoon, as they take on South Dakota in Vermillion. Tipoff is set for 1:00 PM.

South Dakota State Women’s Basketball picked up their 6th straight win last night, defeating Omaha 92 to 55.

Paige Meyer was the leading scorer on the night with 18 points, while Mesa Byome led the way in rebounds with 11.

SDSU are back at home tomorrow as they host South Dakota inside Frost Arena. Tipoff is set for 6:00 PM.

Another batch of winter weather has led to more rescheduling of athletic events for multiple schools around the Yankton area.
