Mount Marty Men’s Basketball was edged out at home by the Jamestown Jimmies last night, 72 to 71.
The Lancers had three players score 15 points in the game, as Jared Lopez, Cole Bowen, and Jake Jensen all combined for the team lead in scoring. Rugby Ryken finished just shy of a double-double with 9 points and 9 assists.
Next up for the Lancers is a home game tomorrow night against Dordt.

Yankton Bucks Basketball fell in their home matchup with the O’Gorman Knights last night, 58 to 40.
Landon Potts was the leading scorer for the Bucks with 17 on the night. Tucker Gilmore ended just shy of a double-double with 8 points and 9 rebounds.
Next up for the Bucks is a road matchup against Pierre on Friday night.
Ava Koller set a new school record for floor exercise during Yankton Gymnastics’ dual against Estelline-Hendricks last night, posting a score of 9.75 in the event. The previous record was 9.7 and was held by Payton Steffensen.
Koller’s floor performance propelled her to 2nd in the individual all-around competition, totaling 35.35 points across all events. Koller was the highest finishing Gazelle on beam, vault, and in floor exercise. Ellie Drotzmann had the highest score on bars with a 7.75, taking 4th place in the event.
Next up for Yankton Gymnastics is a “last chance” meet in Brookings on Saturday.
Yankton Bucks Wrestler Dylan Sloan picked up his 100th varsity victory and a 5th-place finish in the Les Tlustos Invitational in Brookings over the weekend.
Also finishing in the top 8 for Yankton were Bode Thurman, 7th at 150, Shayce Platt, 7th at 157, Edly Amaro, 8th at 285, and Chase Howe, 8th at 165.

Yankton Gazelles Wrestling finished 8th out of 18 teams at the Les Tlustos Invitational in Brookings on Saturday, scoring 35 points.
Winry Yaggie led the way for Yankton with a 2nd place finish at 145 pounds, Jaclyn Kite took home 3rd at 138, while Monica Massey finished 7th at 114.

Mount Marty Men’s Tennis will return to action for the first time in 2024 this afternoon, as they open up their spring campaign against Northwestern.
The Lancer men finished their fall season with a 3 and 1 overall record defeating Concordia, Buena Vista, and Bethany Lutheran.
Matches will be held at the Easton Yankton Archery Center, beginning at 5:30 PM.
The Yankton Quarterback Club will host their weekly meeting at noon tomorrow at the River Rocks Center in Yankton. This week’s featured guest speaker will be Augustana University head men’s basketball coach Tom Billeter.
