A jury has been selected and trial will begin Tuesday for a man facing charges in a fatal shooting that occurred in Hartington in March of 2023.
David Phillips Jr., 20, of Louisiana, is facing a second-degree murder charge in the murder of Israel Matos-Colon, 31, of Michigan.
Phillips’s trial is set to begin at 9 a.m. with opening arguments and testimony in District Court at the Cedar County Courthouse in Hartington.
