Mount Marty University has officially announced that Kayla Bryant will not return as Head Coach of the Lancer Softball program next season.
Bryant amassed a 73-61 overall record in three seasons at the helm, including a GPAC Conference Championship in 2022. The Lancers finished their most recent season 21-24, falling to Morningside in the GPAC Tournament.
Mount Marty has started a national search for the program’s next head coach. As of now, Kyle McLean will serve as interim head coach.
McLean, who is the current Assistant Director of Admission for MMU, was an assistant baseball coach for multiple seasons at Presentation College. McLean had a hand in the largest recruiting class in program history for Presentation, before accepting a role in the Admissions office at Mount Marty in 2018.
