The exterior lanes of a portion of East Highway 50 in Yankton are being closed.
Yankton Public Works Director Adam Haberman says that closure is due to work on a sanitary sewer extension, in relation to a project on Whiting Drive.
Haberman asks drivers to be mindful and to give crews space to work during the closure.
The construction, which started on Monday morning, is projected to last around a week, weather permitting.
