The Yankton County Commission is considering several options when it comes to the future of ambulance services in Yankton County.
Yankton County Commission Chair John Marquardt says that the commission is not looking to act on anything right now, but ambulance services are a cost inefficiency to Yankton County.
One option that was mentioned was the possibility of making ambulances a volunteer service, something that Yankton County Deputy Ambulance Administrator Troy Cowman says would not work.
The commission agreed to continue to discuss the matter at their next meeting.
