The pretrial for one of the two people facing charges in a quadruple homicide that occurred in Laurel, NE in August of 2022 has been extended.
Carrie Jones, 45, appeared remotely for a pretrial conference today, while her attorney, Doug Stratton, was in-person at the Cedar County Courthouse in Hartington.
Stratton requested for a continuation of the pretrial because of a motion he filed to change the venue for Jones’s trial.
Stratton stated that they’re also attempting to finish depositions before the trial.
The request was granted by Judge Brian Meismer.
Jones is next set to appear in court on November, 25th at 11 am at the Cedar County Courthouse.
