The Yankton Fire Department is celebrating its 150th anniversary this year.
Former Deputy Fire Chief, Larry Nickles, says that the Yankton Fire Department is the oldest fire department in the state of South Dakota.
Nickles says that to celebrate, the fire department will be a part of the Mount Marty Homecoming Parade, and then host a celebration at Memorial Park afterwards.
The Yankton Fire Department’s 150th anniversary celebration will be held on September 21st.
