Yankton Bucks and Gazelles Soccer was swept by O’Gorman last night in their Class AA doubleheader.

The Gazelles fell 2 to 1 to the Lady Knights. Yankton’s lone goal came from Eden Wolfgram on a penalty kick after Iyana Becker drew a foul in the box.

O’Gorman would answer with a penalty kick a few minutes later to take the 2-1 win over the Gazelles. The Bucks were shut out by the Knights in their match 3-0.

Yankton will be on the road for their next doubleheader against Brandon Valley on Tuesday.

Yankton Bucks Football hits the road tonight for the first time this season for a matchup with the Watertown Arrows.

Yankton is 1 and 0 to start the year following their 60-0 win against Huron last week. Watertown is playing their first 11-AA game tonight following their loss to Sioux Falls Jefferson in week one.

Pregame coverage on KYNT and KYNTV begins at 6:00 PM with kickoff scheduled for 7:00. Bryce Ladwig and Josh Boelter will be on the call.

Mount Marty Football opens up GPAC play tomorrow night, traveling to Joe Quintal Field in Mitchell to face Dakota Wesleyan.

The Lancers are 1 and 0 on the season following their 42-14 win over Culver-Stockton last week. DWU enters at 0 and 1 after their loss to Dakota State, 34-3 in week one.

Kickoff is scheduled for 6:00 PM with pregame coverage on KYNT and KYNTV begins at 5:00. Steve Thum and Tehl Tanner will be on the call.

Mount Marty Volleyball returns to the court tomorrow afternoon for a home matchup against Morningside. 

The Lancers are 7-2 on the year while the Mustangs enter at 11-3 overall. First serve is set for 3:00 PM.

Yankton Volleyball is on the road tomorrow for a matchup with the Harrisburg Tigers. First serve is scheduled for 3:00 PM.

Mount Marty Men’s Golf took home 13th as a team in the Blue River Classic, which concluded yesterday in Lincoln.

MMU finished at 932 as a team over three rounds. Bennett Cassens led the Lancers at 230, followed by Jimmie Cunningham at 232 and Ted Bengston at 234.

Next on the schedule for the Lancers is the Siouxland Invitational on September 9th and 10th.

Yankton Competitive Cheer and Dance competed in Mitchell yesterday, finishing 5th in dance and 13th in cheer.

The Gazelles scored 262 in dance, with 1st-placed Dakota Valley scoring 278.75. In cheer, Yankton totaled a 173.5.

Yankton will host a home invite for their next competition on September 12th.

Yankton Bucks Golf is set to host a 4-team invite today at Hillcrest Golf and Country Club.

Competing against Yankton in the event will be Brandon Valley, Harrisburg, and O’Gorman.

Tee time is set for 9:00 AM this morning.

Yankton Gazelles Tennis will compete against Sioux Falls Jefferson and Spearfish today at a neutral site in Mitchell.

Yankton will face Jefferson at 10:00 AM and Spearfish at 1:00. Matches will be held at Hitchcock Park in Mitchell.

Yankton Bucks and Gazelles Cross Country is set to compete in the Augustana Twilight Meet today in Sioux Falls.

The Varsity Girls will run at 7:00 PM, with the Boys set to run at 7:30. The race will be held at Sioux Falls Yankton Trail Park.

Mount Marty Cross Country is scheduled to compete in the Augustana Twilight Meet as well.

The Collegiate competitions will also be held at Sioux Falls Yankton Trail Park, beginning at 8:00 PM.
