Yankton Thrive and Interchange hosted a District 18 Candidate forum Monday.
Rose Hauger, who moderated the debate, says that forums like this one are important because it can help educate voters on the candidates and their views.
Hauger says that absentee voting begins on Friday.
The candidates for the House of Representatives include incumbent Julie Auch (R), incumbent Mike Stevens (R), Paul Harens (D), and Sarah Mechtenberg (D).
For the Senate, the candidates are Sarah Carda (D) and Lauren Nelson (R).
