Yankton School District Superintendent, Dr. Wayne Kindle, has made additional comments on a false report on social media that there was an alleged active shooter at the Yankton Middle School.
Kindle says that the middle school was in the middle of an active threat drill that involved local law enforcement on Wednesday when a citizen posted on social media that there was an active shooter at the middle school.
Kindle says that he urges parents, students, and community members to rely on official communication channels from the Yankton School District and local authorities for accurate information.
