Crofton Businesses to Hold Fundraisers This Weekend for Schieffer Family

On August 30th, Breanna (11) and Katelynn (8) Schieffer were walking to school when they were struck by a car at a crosswalk in Crofton.

Since then, the two girls have had multiple surgeries, including the removal of their spleens.

In order to help with expenses with their treatment and recovery, two Crofton business will be raising funds over the weekend.

Joyce Stevens, the Co-President of the Board of Directors at Mainstreet Treasures in Crofton, says that proceeds from sales at Mainstreet Treasures this Friday and Saturday will go towards the two girls and their recovery.

Mainstreet Treasures will be open Friday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Sports Stop Bar in Crofton will also be raising funds for the Schieffer family as they will be hosting a two-person best ball golf tournament on Sunday at 11 a.m. at the Crofton Lakeview Golf Course.
