The Yankton Police Department responded to a robbery on Saturday night in the 300 block of West 23rd Street in Yankton.
YPD responded to the scene shortly before 9:00 PM, learning that the suspect had left the scene after acquiring money from the register.
YPD identified John Ringquist Jr as the suspect, later locating and apprehending Ringquist.
Ringquist has been charged with Robbery in the 1st Degree, Grand Theft, and Simple Assault. Ringquist is currently held in the Yankton County Jail.
