The Yankton County Commission has provided an update on the possibility of adding a juvenile detention center in Yankton County.
Commission Chair, John Marquardt, says that they will be holding a meeting later this month to discuss the findings of a feasibility study so far.
Marquardt says that Minnehaha County, which is where Yankton County currently sends juveniles, is upping its cost by nearly $50 a day per juvenile.
Marquardt says that no decision has been made at this time and the study is expected to continue after the meeting.
