The Yankton High School’s student newspaper, “The Woksape”, recently secured first place at Press Days.
Woksape advisor, Kaiti Ladwig, says that Press Days is a journalism event where high school newspapers and yearbooks across the state are recognized for their achievements.
Ladwig says that ‘The Woksape’ earned a Superior rating, scoring 78 out of 90 possible points, capturing first place in its category against five other AA schools and 13 schools overall.
The Yankton High School’s yearbook, ‘The Arickara’ also scored well, earning an excellence rating, and placing second amongst 25 schools overall.
