Representative Mike Stevens attended last night’s Yankton School Board Meeting to discuss the upcoming South Dakota Legislative Session.
Stevens says that this year’s session will be significant due to the turnover within the legislature, including 2/3rds of the House Education Committee not returning this year.
Stevens says that the budget, while usually a main issue, will be an even more significant discussion this year.
The 2025 South Dakota Legislative Session officially opens at noon on January 14th.
