South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley has confirmed that the body of a deceased individual was found in Scotland Tuesday.
Jackley said Tuesday that the investigation has just begun and the public is not in danger at this time.
Jackley did not state if foul play was involved and the identity of the deceased has not been released.
The South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation is investigating the matter.
