The Yankton Education Association hosted a candidate forum for the upcoming Yankton School Board election Monday night.
The candidates were asked several questions from the public, including one on education savings accounts (ESAs), which would see more funding put towards private education, but failed in the recent legislative session.
Incumbent Sarah Carda stated that she is opposed to any ESA programs.
Carda, along with Sarah Brandt, Justin Frick, Ellie Kajer, and Brennan Novak are all running for school board, with two seats available.
Election day is April 8th.
